‘DANSAUL was formed in 1996 by Dan Plews and Saul Rose, who are joined by Guy Fletcher, Mark Woolley and, when not otherwise engaged, Jon Boden. The band’s roots reach from the local traditions in which they grew up towards contemporary styles with obviously wider influences.

DANSAUL’s live performances are good-humoured, unpredictable, and peppered with anecdotes - add to this the quality of the material, and it is easy to see why they are rebooked everywhere they play.

Dan Plews sings and plays bouzouki and guitar, with Saul Rose on melodeon, Guy Fletcher on fiddle, Mark Woolley on bodhran, percussion and low whistles , and Jon Boden on fiddle and string bass - all accomplished musicians and highly regarded performers’.
