Seven unaccompanied women’s voices create the unique sound of Heaven Shouting. Their polished, sparkling and vibrant style has evolved through years of performing and song writing. They are consummate perfectionists and professional in their approach.
Their repertoire is based on a mixture of innovative arrangements of traditional and contemporary songs. The lyricism and haunting harmonies of their version of “She Moved Through the Fair”, for example, makes it a firm favourite with audiences. The group’s original material contributes to the richness of their set, adding emotional range and a jazz-inspired electricity.
Heaven Shouting’s excitement in performing their ever-developing set is tangible and infectious. They have just released their debut album and another is soon to follow.
Sian Croose, internationally renowned for her work with vocal groups as well as her collaborations with top contemporary performers and composers, formed the group in 1995. The rest of the line-up is Caroline Davison, Saffron Paffron, Jane Wirgman, Claire Kidman, Carol Bailey and Tracy Sharp.
They are available to perform in concerts, special occasions and to run harmony and voice workshops.
